With Empires and Allies, you have the chance to build your own army, and you may also use your army to invade your friends. You can build tanks, canons, cadet soldiers, ships, and much more. I am still in low levels that is why this is the only soldiers I have used.

If your not going to be playing for a while, you should collect all the rent etc from houses oil mines etc. It gives you xp and something else. So your closer to reaching another level and goods. Then, when you come back your energy is filled. It doesn't work for high level players though. Takes quite a while for it to fill up.
