My First Google Adsense Payment

I already received my first Google Adsense Payment. It was only $123.37 and the payment date was last August 26, 2008 but I claimed the money last August 29, 2008. The exchange rate that they used was 45.065, so low compared to what I saw on the news which is 45.50 something for that day. Here is the pic of the 'to get money' form of Western Union:

I thought claiming the payment was an exciting moment, well it was at first. Not until I actually claimed the payment on that establishment(it is NOT Western Union). It was horrible. I will not come back and claim my Adsense payment again on that establishment. Well, I am still thinking if I would blog about that horrible experience. Anyways, I am happy that I still got the money after the long wait and the poor service of 'them'.

Eraserheads Reunion Concert cut short

I supposed to post this 'rumor' last night but I still had to confirm if it was really true that the Erasherheads Reunion was cut short because Ely Buendia was rushed to the hospital in the middle of the concert. Here is a video that confirmed the news.

For the latest Philippine news stories and videos, visit GMANews.TV

I know that Ely Buendia is really having a difficult time right now especially because of his mother passing away a few days ago. I just hope that Ely is okay right now.

Watch Obama McCain Debate

All my life, I haven't seen a Presidentiable, go one on one against another Presidentiable in terms of debate, because here in the Philippines, it is not required for a Presidential Candidate to participate in a debate.

This year's candidates for the Presidency of the United States of America is Barack Obama and John McCain. Who do you think will America votes?

I hope I can watch Barack Obama John McCain debate. I just want to see how these two great men answer every issue present today in America and the whole world.

Obama - McCain Debates Schedule

Barack Obama and John McCain is the Presidentiables of the United States of America. Who will win between the two?Who will America vote?

But before they vote, they should watch the head to head debate between these two candidates so they can know their programs and stand in each issues they will tackle.

I don't know what's the schedule of the debates, so please, if you know about the Barack Obama John McCain debate schedule, leave a comment and what network can I watch the debate. I haven't seen a debate between two Presidential candidates because there is no such thing here in the Philippines.

Thanks in advance!

Google Suggest is now on Google.com

I've read an article few days back saying that Google Suggest is now incorporated on the Google.com home page.

This is good news for people who searches on Google because they will easily find what they are looking for. But for us bloggers, this will be the end of optimizing misspelled keywords such as Googel, Freindster, yutubi, and many more.

I guess I have to optimize more terms that are frequently searched but has no or little competition.

Successful Paypal Withdrawal to Eon Visa Card

At last, the long wait has been over. I am getting anxious as the days goes by because this is my first time that I will withdraw funds from my Paypal account. And after six days(4 working days) of waiting, the funds arrived and has been reflected on my Eon account.

Reunion Concert of The Eraserheads Was Cancelled?

According to odyseeylive.net, the DOH did not issue the permit, so the reunion concert will likely to be cancelled.

All of the Eraserheads fans are anticipating this concert since it was confirmed(by Ely) that they will have a reunion concert. But the fans ended up with frustrations and disappointments.

I guess the other option to have this concert to push through is to have a sponsor such as Globe, Smart, or any other big companies out there. Even if they sell those tickets(unlike the free tickets it is supposed to be), it will still sell. You know how fans are eager to see the Eraserheads perform once again.

Apparels in MMA

MMA or Mixed Martial Arts is considered as the fastest growing sport today. Thanks to the leadership of UFC, it is now recognized a sport, not only in the Americas, but also Europe and Asia.

Today, the sport has introduced new star fighters, such as Chuck Liddell, George St. Pierre, BJ Penn, Anderson Silva, Forrest Griffin, Quinton Jackson, and a lot more. And what I like about them is not only how they fight, but also their MMA Apparel. =]

So where can we buy brand new MMA shirts or apparel? Fitfuel.com offers great quality MMA products such as V-Flex XT Competition Edition fight shorts, which real MMA fighters wore whenever they fight inside the ring or inside the Octagon. So whenever you practice or booked to have a fight, why not try what the pros wear.

If you are a fan of MMA, what's cool of having a good Rampage Jackson Signature Tee being worn on fight nights. This is one way of supporting your favorite brand or fighter, and even the sport.

What are you waiting for? Come, buy one! =]

Never Procrastinate

As the title said, never procrastinate. Though this is a common advice in businesses, it can also be applied in blogging. I learned this lesson in a much disappointing way.

Most of the traffic of blogs came from SEO, right? I've been looking for keywords to optimize, whether it is misspelled words, or from current events, or for future sports events.

I saw Gusher's post about the 2008 Beijing Olympics Medal Tally/Count, way way back. I guess it was months before or maybe a month before the Olympics started. I was about to make a post about it too, but my laziness got in me first, that is why I did not make a post about it. I made a post about it in the middle of the Olympics.

And what happened? The post only stayed I guess only for hours in the first page, and now, it is nowhere to be found. I am trying my best to get the post back to the first page, but due to stiff competition, the post was buried from the deep pages of Google.

Now, my sports blog is suffering. Since there is only one UFC event and no major boxing event this August(I guess to give way to the Olympics), I got no keyword to use in SEO.

So I guess the solution is simple. If you ever thought of a keyword, just make a post about it so Google can index that post immediately. That way, you got the leverage to have your post in the first page of Google for that keyword.

Havainas, Havianas

If you are looking for havainas or havianas, then you came to the right place. Because you will learn something new today. So please proceed and read the next paragraphs.

Welcome to this page. I know why you landed on this page. It is because you are looking for a great footwear, right? A footwear with a nice design, very comforting, and trendy. This footwear is so 'in' specially during summer time, though it can be worn all the time too.

I have to say sorry because the one you are looking for is not here. Because I have to say that you misspelled the word while typing it on Google. You typed Havainas, or Havianas, which is wrong. But never be disappointed because I will give you the link where you can go the place where you really want to go. Here it is -> Havaianas.

Thanks for coming. I hope you learn something new today. =]

AVG Free Edition not updating, .bin file missing

This morning, as I open my computer, I noticed that the AVG icon on the right lower part of the screen turned black, and has the red exclamation point at it. That means that there is something wrong with AVG. I immediately checked what's wrong with my AVG and I saw that the update manager is having the 'x' mark.

I always got that whenever I am not online, or disconnected on the internet, so I thought that I was disconnected again. But after I clicked the update button, AVG did try to update, but the update was never completed. It always showing the message "a .bin file missing". And I got the same result, again and again.

I don't know anything about .bin files so I try seeking a solution about the issue on the internet, which lead me to yahoo answers. I saw a thread there that almost all people using the AVG Free Edition got the same problem.

There is one user that gave a link which lead to the AVG Free Forum. The Moderator there had a statement regarding the issue. Here is the statement:

Currently the update for AVG Free v8 is corrupted... you will have to wait for AVG Technologies to address the issue with the update.

Reporting the issue again by other users here will not do any good util it is resolved.

The updates that your AVG currently have will still provide the protection it is setup to detect. In otherwords, just getting this update will not make your AVG Free ineffective and as soon as AVG Tech resolves the issue you will be able to update to the current virus definitions at that time.

So in short... please do not post to report the issue, its already known. Also please be patient until AVG Technologies can address the issue.

Also... for those user that did report the issue... thanks for the info.
So I guess the problem is on AVG, not in my computer. There is also one user in the yahoo answer thread that I saw who suggests a solution. Anyone who tried that solution says it worked on them. I haven't tried that solution because I am afraid that I may touch a wrong button, because I am no computer genius, and the situation might get worse. You can check the said solution here.

Since most of the AVG Free Edition users had the same problem, the most logical thing to do is to wait and see what the AVG people will do about this update.

My First Aid & BLS Certificate

Finally, I got my certificate of completion for the First Aid and BLS (Basic Life Support) training, which I attended from July 14-19, 2008. I trained for BLS before but it was last 2004, and the validity of that certificate is already expired. That is why I trained for the new one.

I thought that the certificate would look like my certificate of attendance, but I was kinda surprised that it looked like an ID. Here's the pic:

Right now, I can say that I am a certified First Aider and a Basic Life 'Supporter?'. LOL. If you want to train just like what I did, just go the Red Cross National Headquarters at the Port Area.

Back from blogging again...

Finally, I got the time to blog again. I, I mean, we were busy last week preparing ourselves for the wedding we have attended last August 9, 2008. This was special because this is the first wedding in which our classmate will be the one to be married. She is the first one to be married in a church as far as I know in our class. That is why we made sure that we all looked good on her wedding.

Another thing that really that keep us busy was the gift. My friend and I got a difficult time in which gift we will give because this is not our thing, unlike the ladies. One more thing is that we will be buying our gift coming straight from our pockets, that is why we made sure that it is a good one.

One more thing that keep me busy last week is my new blog. I have created a new blog where I can post anything. I am planning to make every posts in this blog a health related one. That is why I created that blog.

That's it for today. I will be posting here my new blog, once it is ready for reading. =]

Abdominal Quadrant Pains

Sometimes, we experienced pain in our abdomen. Sometimes, the pain is distributed in different locations of our abdomen, right? Actually, in nursing, or medical field, the abdomen is divided into quadrants, so that if there is pain, we can easily assess what the pain suggests. Here is some illustration so you can understand easily:

For example, the above picture is your abdomen. The abdomen is facing us that is why his right side is on our left side. Got it? It is divided into right upper quadrant(RUQ), right lower quadrant (RLQ), left upper quadrant, (LUQ), and left lower quadrant(LLQ). Here is the breakdown of the pain in each quadrant and what it is suggesting.

  • RUQ pain - suggests cholecystitis(inflammation of the gallbladder) or hepatitis(inflammation of the liver).
  • RLQ pain - suggests appendicitis(inflammation of the appendix).
  • LUQ pain - suggests pancreatitits (inflammation of the pancreas).
  • LLQ pain - suggests diverticulitis(inflammation of the diverticulum).

Please be noted that it doesn't necessarily mean that if you experience pain in these quadrants, you got the disease mentioned. These are only the mnemonics we used in nursing so that we are able to remember it quickly. If you are a nursing student, this will help you a lot, I will tell you. =p

It's 8/8/8

I've been thinking a topic to blog about but nothing was crated inside this crazy mind of mine. So I would like to blog about the date today, which is 8/8/8. I don't know what does 8/8/8 brings to us, or its meaning, but it is a date that only comes every century. So just cherish this very moment, that we happen to live within this specific date.

By the way, today is also the opening of 2008 Beijing Olympics. Let's hope that our Filipino athletes will bring home some gold medals this Olympics.

Search and you shall earn...

There are lots of money making programs nowadays. There are also programs where you can earn money just by using their search engines, just like Scour.

Scour is the latest make money program that I just joined before making this post. What I like about this search engine is that it ranks the results of each pages from Yahoo, MSN, and Google. You can compare how a website does in those big three search engines. And what's more is that you can earn through them just by using a search engine. Here are their points tally and how much you can earn from it:

1 = Search
2 = Vote
3 = Comment

25,000 = $100
12,500 = $50
6,500 = $25

So what are you waiting for? Sign up now by clicking here.

Thanks to Jehzlau because I would have not known this program if he haven't posted about it. You can also check his post to know more about the program or you may want to check the blog of Scour by clicking here.

Want to feel like a star for a day?

Everybody wants to be a star someday, right? Everybody wants to feel how it is getting followed by the fans, getting cornered, and asked for photographs and autographs. Well, I experienced that, but not exactly the same thing. Here is my story.

My mom and I always go to this mall in Manila every morning because she gets irritated roaming around when there are lots of people. Her solution is to go there just before the opening.

One day(I forgot which day it was, but it is just within this week), we went to this mall and have our typical routine. I went to National Bookstore to see if there are new books that has been released, try to find new tech stuffs, while she went to go window shopping in her favorite boutiques. After our routine, we decided to meet to go to the groceries, but she invited me to go to the pillow/bed sheet section of this mall first, because she wanted to buy something from that section.

Once we get there, the very first step we made in that section, the mall's salespeople literally blocked our way and said "Good morning Ma'am, Sir, would like this and that blah blah blah... I guess they were five to six people and they all spoke at the same time and we can't understand what they are saying to us. We made a turn in one section and another group of saleslady/man was there to meet us. I was shocked with this because these people are really aggressive, maybe to make their first sale of the day, which I guess was a big mistake because they are scaring away their customers.

My mom told me to get out of this section immediately because, you know why. So I obliged, and while walking away from that section, I told her that I felt like I was a member of the Beatles, with fans crowding you, but this time, the people that were following me are salespeople.

So if you want to experience the same thing, maybe just go to any mall that is near your place, make sure that the mall has just opened and the salespeople haven't made their first sale yet. Go to a section where there are lots of salespeople but no customers, I am sure that you'll experience what I experienced. =]
