This is my performance of the trick Bad Habit by Daniel Garcia. I admit that my performance really sucked, I just practiced for a couple of hours with this performance. It should have been a cellophane from a cigarette box, but because I don't smoke, I used a cellophane of a card box. =]

Diabetis, Diabites, it is DIABETES

Before we dig deeper about DM(Diabetes Mellitus), did you know that a lot of people misspells the word diabetes into diabetis and diabites? That is correct. Because the word diabetis and diabites has a high number of searches according to Google Trends. That means that many didn't know the real spelling of DM. If we commit mistakes in spelling the name, the more we commit mistake in viewing the condition.

So what is DM(Diabetes Mellitus)? It is a condition wherein a person has a blood sugar way above the normal level. You may not be alarmed in its definition, but did you know the possible complications that may arise from it? A couple of examples are seen in the commercial in Philippine TV where a patient got blind and another one got his leg amputated. Actually, there are more, such as heart problems, kidney problems etc. but those two are the most common.

There is no treatment in DM, but this condition is very controllable. IMO, the number solution to this condition is DISCIPLINE, especially for type II DM(those who has insulin, but very little). I guess that is the number one thing you must have in order to overcome this condition(and it applies to other disorders/diseases/condition too). Because if you have discipline, it is easier to do ways in controlling the condition such as diet and exercise. Still, prevention is better than cure.

That was a close one...

The Lakers won early this morning (Philippine time) by a slim margin over the Spurs in their game four of the Western Conference semi finals.

I thought the Lakers will win this one with a blowout because they started very fast. Not until the Spurs rallied to cut the lead before half-time. But I think the Lakers controlled the second half pretty good, but still, the Spurs keep on getting close with the help of Brent Barry, but Barry missed the potential game-winning shot. Thanks to the 'distraction' of Fisher. Harhar. =]

The score of the series is 3-1 in favor of the Lakers. I won't celebrate yet because Spurs is still a threat to the Lakers. Game 5 will be in L.A. I just hope they will close the series this time.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of Crystal Skull

I just came home from watching Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of Crystal Skull in SM Cinema. My cousin invited me to watch so I went with him to see the movie. This is only the second Indiana Jones movie that I have watched. The first one was The Raiders of the Lost Ark, thanks to my grandfather, which gave me a VHS tape of that movie before.

You must see this movie if you like riddle/mystery/adventure-type movie because the movie has all of it. I can say that this is a greater movie than the first National Treasure. I never get to see the second National Treasure, that is why I am comparing it to the first one. This movie will give you the 'rush' right from the start. The special effects in this movie are neatly done too.

These are only my views though, I still suggest that you watch the movie. =]

Antipolo's Yakitate! Japan?

My mom and I went to Antipolo this morning to attend a mass because May is the month of Antipolo Church. The last time my mom went there was two years ago, and the last time I went there was...uhm.. I can't exactly remember because I was still a kid back then.

After attending the mass and going to the exhibit at the back of the church, my mom and I roam around the place to see what we can buy. We bought the traditional ricecakes, cashew nuts and some large barquillos. After buying these items, we noticed a large group of people crowding a tent. We went there and saw that a lady is selling breads that has animal designs. It was kinda cool to see these breads because it reminds me of Yakitate! Ja-pan, one of my favorite Anime, so I bought one. Here are some pics:





There are also other designs such as lobsters, etc. and there are a lot bigger sizes than this, but I prefer this size. According to the seller of this bread, it has cheese inside. I guess that was the down side of this bread. Because it only contain a thin slice of cheese in a big bread like this. But if I were to rate this bread, I'll give 10 for the design and 9 for the bread alone because the bread was very tasty.

So if you haven't gone to Antipolo Church this May, you still have time, and don't forget to get a bread like this. =]

David vs David...Who will win?

I saw the performance of both David Archuleta and David Cook on QTV just a while ago, and I say that both of them showed a very good performance.

I am a David Cook fan, and I thought David Cook will take this one home. But after comparing his performance against David Archuleta tonight, I am having some doubt if he will win this American Idol Season 7.

I do agree with Simon Cowell this time. I did not get the 'wow' effect from David Cook from his performance tonight, unlike Archuleta, who really impressed me. One thing I did not like from Archuleta is that he sang 'Imagine' again. If my memory serves me right, he sang that song in one of the previous weeks before the finals.

Archuleta may have the upper hand in the performance, but who knows who America will vote.

UPDATE: David Cook won! Woo! I really thought Archuleta will get this one based on his performance last night.

A good night for fight fans

May 25, 2008 will be the date made especially for fight fans. Why? Because UFC 84 Ill Will and the Ricky Hatton vs Juan Lazcano fight will happen at the same date, though not at the same time, and not at the same place . UFC 84 Ill Will will happen on Las Vegas while the Ricky Hatton vs Juan Lazcano fight will happen at the home of Hatton at Manchester, England.

UFC 84 will feature some of the best talents in the world of MMA. Leading the cards are popular fighters such as Tito Ortiz, Lyoto Machida, Wanderlei Silva, Keith Jardine, and for the main event, BJ Penn will defend his Lightweight title against Sean Sherk. This event will be aired live on Balls channel on Sky Cable.

Ricky Hatton's comeback fight since his first loss will be against Juan Lazcano. Juan Lazcano is not a popular fighter here in the Philippines. I guess many will know him because of Fight Night Round three, but I guess only a few Pinoys have seen him fight. I just hope Hatton will get this one home. I don't know if the Hatton-Lazcano video will be aired here in the Philippines, but I'll just wait for the internet for the results.

So fight fans, let's enjoy this Sunday because I am sure, this day will be a full-action day. Let me know who are your bets...=]

Another reward from SMART BRO...

I got another discount coupons from SMART BRO again, and this time, it arrived a little earlier than my previous coupons. My first 'gift' was a Christmas card from SMART BRO together with the discount coupons, but it arrived on mid-February. That is why I didn't have enough time to use the discount coupons since some are already expired and some are a week before expiring. But this time, I still got two months to use these coupons.

eBay Gallery Pics are Free!

I got this news 16 days late because the promo started last April 29. eBay is having a promo on their gallery pics, instead of charging three pesos, using gallery pics are now free!

I just started putting gallery pics again for my items just this afternoon. I never noticed the ad being shown in the front page of eBay.ph until now. That is why I am in a hurry using this option.

For those who doesn't know what gallery pics are, it is the picture shown in the search results on eBay. For example, if you use that option, and if a potential buyer search the keyword of your item, he will have sneak peek on how your item looked like. Buyers will easily notice if your item is the item that they are looking for. Unlike to those items who doesn't use this option, the potential buyer needs to click the item first before they can see the pics.

Of course, using the gallery option is advantageous for both sellers and buyers. Buyers save time in searching the item that they like, and for the sellers, because buyers are a little bit lazy clicking the link of your item just to see the pic, they tend to buy the items that they saw the pic on the search results, not knowing there are items that is much better, but do not have gallery pics. And sometimes, when they click on the link, they get disappointed on what they saw because it is not the item they are looking for, which wastes them their precious time.

Is it me or youtube?

I've been experiencing some major delay watching videos on youtube this past few days. A single two-minute clip was downloaded for almost thirty minutes. And sometimes, the download stucked in the middle of the video.

I thought my internet connection was the cause, but I tried testing my speed on 2wire.com and speedtest. net, and the results vary from 300-400 kbps. I also tried watching two minute videos on other websites such as metacafe, but it only takes seconds to download.

I also installed the latest flash player but still, it would not work. I opened my firefox and ie7, and both had slowed down in playing videos.

I really don't know what happened to this computer or youtube, so if you have any idea, explanation, or even the solution to this problem, please do comment. =]

Mother's Day @ Manila Ocean Park

Finally, I got the chance to visit Manila Ocean Park. I am from Tondo, and it is just five minutes away from our home, and I don't have the chance to go to Manila Ocean Park until now.


Honestly, I expected larger aquariums than they got. I mean, maybe three to four times bigger from what they have now. And I guess they should have made the 'Bahura' part a little bit larger, or they shouldn't allowed a ton of people to enter that place simultaneously because it gets pretty crowded, which makes the taking of pictures a little bit difficult. =]

Talking about taking pictures, using flash from your digicam is prohibited inside the Oceanarium. But the 'pasaway' (stubbornness) in me suddenly attacked, and I sneaked in a few shots using flash from my digicam, though I got warned the first time I used the flash. The thing is that if you don't use your flash when taking pictures from your cam, the pic will get blurry, unless you are using a dSLR. Here is one of the shots I got using the flash of my digicam. Harhar.




























Since the pics were a little bit blurry without using the flash, I just turned my digicam to video mode. Luckily, I brought my extra memory cards and our video cam so that we captured every moment inside the Oceanarium.

All in all, the experience was great because the place is one of a kind here in the Philippines, and a lot of fishes were seen by me only for the first time. =]

Is yutubi also youtube?

If you happen to land on this page and you are searching for youtube, I guess you typed the wrong keyword in Google. I suggest you read the following. Thanks! =]

A lot of bloggers already used the the misspellings of youtube as keywords for their SEO, such as utube, yotube, yuutube etc. Since a lot of them used those keywords, I tried searching for another keyword that is derived from youtube. What I did is I intentionally misspells the word youtube, and tried searching in Google Trends if a lot of people is searching for that keyword.

After a few experiments, I came up with yutubi. I don't know what is the meaning of that word, but whenever I search it in Googel, they are suggesting the word 'youtube'. May be a lot of people misspells the word youtube to yutubi. Is yutubi, also youtube? Maybe...Whatchathink?
